About the Lithionics Batteries

Our Lithium-ion battery system in our motorhomes replaces the Cummins Onan propane generator and provides clean and quiet lithium-ion based energy that will power your entire motorhome. This is the most advanced energy storage system available in the camper van world. Our Lithionics batteries are the only UL Listed and UL Tested lithium-ion batteries on the market. The system provides a total of 1,260AH (Amp Hours) / 16,128WH (Watt Hours), this system will run the motorhome AC for up to 12 hours on battery power alone.

The integrated battery management software pairs perfectly with our Firefly Integrations control system. With a 280AMP high output auxiliary alternator and Wakespeed Regulator your lithium-ion batteries will recharge from idle whenever your Mercedes-Benz Sprinter is running. The 3,000 Watt Xantrax Inverter and 300 Watt Solar system, you will have peace of mind knowing that your lithium-ion batteries will stay charged for the journey ahead.

Storage Procedure

This PDF provides guidelines on how to correctly store Lithionics batteries, emphasizing the importance of appropriate storage for preserving battery health and readiness. The instructions differ for short-term storage (up to 3 months) and long-term storage (more than 3 months, up to a maximum of 6 months). Short-term storage involves fully charging the battery, turning it off via the switch or disconnecting an external BMS, and maintaining it under specified environmental conditions. Long-term storage requires reducing the battery’s state of charge to around 50%, turning it off or disconnecting the external BMS, and ensuring the battery is stored above freezing temperatures. It also requires a charging-discharging cycle every six months. The document presents a detailed table of optimal storage temperatures and humidity levels for various storage durations.

FAQ: Lithium Battery Life Versus Warranty

This PDF from Lithionics Battery provides comprehensive information on the longevity of Lithium Ion batteries and clarifies the type of warranty they offer. It suggests that most Lithium Ion batteries last between 2000 to 3000 cycles, which equates to around 7 to 10 years, with variations based on factors like temperature and calendar aging. It warns that batteries are wear items and most warranties from manufacturers deny claims based on normal wear.

Contrastingly, Lithionics Battery offers an objective warranty that is both time and usage-based, which can be monitored on their BMS APP. The warranty covers manufacturing defects for 5 years and guarantees a minimum of 2000 cycles of amp-hour usage.

FAQ: Why does my Bluetooth APP show a high State of Charge percentage, yet my battery is actually at a much lower state of charge or nearly empty?

This PDF serves as an FAQ guide that explains discrepancies users may notice between the State of Charge (SoC) displayed on a Bluetooth app and the actual charge of their Lithionics battery. It clarifies that SoC readings, calculated by an electronic Hall Effect Shunt, are most accurate after calibration and can lose precision over time due to amp losses and sensor drift. The document underscores the importance of regular full charge cycles for accurate SoC readings and maintaining battery health.
